Day 1 – Saturday: Arrival in Algiers

Welcome to Algeria!

You will arrive in Algiers; the capital located on the Mediterranean coast. After immigration and baggage
procedures, you will be welcomed by your local guide and transferred to your hotel by private coach. Checkin to your rooms and enjoy a traditional Algerian dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Algiers.

Day 2 – Sunday: Visit of Algiers

Discover the Historical Heart of Algiers

After breakfast, depart for a guided tour of Algiers, blending Ottoman, colonial, and modern architecture.

Highlights:

• The Casbah of Algiers (UNESCO site) with its narrow alleys and Ottoman palaces
• Ketchaoua Mosque and the Martyrs’ Memorial
• National Bardo Museum with prehistoric and Saharan collections
• Downtown and its French colonial buildings

Lunch at a local restaurant with Algerian cuisine. Return to the hotel for some rest, then dinner at another local restaurant.

Day 3 – Monday: Algiers – Djemila – Constantine

Roman Splendor and Mountain Landscapes

Departure at 08:00 after breakfast toward the Roman site of Djemila (formerly Cuicul), located in the
mountains. Algiers > Djemila: 340 km / Approx. 4h30

2-hour guided visit:

• Arch of Caracalla
• Forum, temples, basilicas, Roman houses with mosaics
• Then continue to Constantine, the “city of bridges”.
• Djemila > Constantine: 120 km / Approx. 2h
• Arrival in the evening, check-in at the hotel.
• Lunch en route / in Djemila Dinner at the hotel in Constantine Hotel (4-star in Constantine)

Day 4 – Tuesday: Constantine – Timgad – Constantine

Imperial Rome and Numidian Heritage

Departure at 08:30 to the Roman site of Timgad. Stop at the Numidian Mausoleum of Imedghassen (3rd
century BC). Constantine > Timgad: 130 km (via Imedghassen) / Approx. 2h30

2-hour guided tour:

• Trajan’s Arch
• Roman theatre
• Forum, Capitoline Temple
• Thermal baths, library, grid-like streets
• Return to Constantine in the afternoon.

Day 5 – Wednesday: Constantine – Tiddis – Constantine – Flight to Djanet

Ancient Ruins and Ottoman Elegance

Depart for the Roman site of Tiddis, perched on a hill with panoramic views. In Tiddis: Roman arch, Mithraic sanctuary, Christian basilica, rock-carved houses Constantine > Tiddis: 20 km / 40 min (one way) Return to Constantine, visit of:

• Casbah of Constantine
• Cirta Museum
• Emir Abdelkader Mosque
• Lunch & Dinner at a local restaurant
• Transfer to the airport Flight AH6354 Constantine > Djanet: 21:30 – 23:30

Day 6 – Thursday: Djanet – Timras – Tikabaouine

Surreal Landscapes and Prehistoric Treasures
(Approx. 65 km by 4×4)

After breakfast, departure by 4×4 to the Timras region, a labyrinth of sandstone formations and natural arches. Continue to Tikabaouine, an emblematic site of the Tassili:

• Spectacular sunset over the changing rocks

Day 7 – Friday: Tikabaouine – Essendilène – Djanet

The Hidden Oasis of the Sahara

Departure toward the guelta of Essendilène, at the foot of the Tassili plateau. 2-hour round-trip hike through a lush canyon to reach a crystal-clear water basin. Return to Djanet by late afternoon.

Day 8 – Saturday: Erg Admer – Tigharghart – Djanet

The Pink Dunes and the “Crying Cow”

Morning in Erg Admer, a sea of endless pink dunes. Afternoon at Tigharghart to admire the prehistoric rock
engraving of the “Crying Cow”. Sunset over the desert heights.

Day 9 – Sunday: Djanet ✈ Algiers ✈ Ghardaïa

From the Sahara to the M’zab Valley

Morning rest and breakfast in Algiers. Excursion:

• Lunch at a local restaurant in Algiers
• Transfer to the airport and flight to Ghardaïa. Hotel check-in.
• Dinner at the hotel
• Overnight in Ghardaïa (4-star hotel)

Day 10 – Monday: Ghardaïa – M’zab Valley

Architectural Treasure of the Sahara

Explore the ksour (fortified villages) of the UNESCO-listed valley:

• Ksar El-Atteuf (founded in 1012)
• Ksar Ghardaïa & Market Square
• Ksar Beni Isguen (guided visit required, modest dress recommended)
• Lunch & Dinner in traditional restaurants
• Overnight in Ghardaïa (4-star hotel)

Day 11 – Tuesday: Ghardaïa ✈ Algiers – Tipaza – Algiers

Farewell to Southern Algeria!

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Transfer to Ghardaïa airport.
• Flight AH6200: Ghardaïa (08:15) → Algiers (09:45).
• On arrival, departure by private vehicle to Tipaza on the western coast (70 km, about 1h15).

Visit of Tipaza

• Ancient Punic-Roman city, UNESCO World Heritage site
• Discovery of the Roman theatre, forum, Christian basilica, necropolis, and ancient harbor
• Stunning views over the Mediterranean and the ancient ruins

Lunch by the sea in Tipaza Fresh fish or local specialties.
Afternoon: return to Algiers (70 km, 1h15)

Day 12 – Wednesday: Departure from Algeria
